Get to know a little part of Europe

be your exterior rustic, with a bohemian flare,

or chic and modern, all metallic and bare.

I love your refuge and inviting glow,

on a summery morning and in the winter snow.

you are a place to read and to study,

to congregate or just chill with a buddy.

to think or write or stare into space,

observing fashions with each passing face.

the sounds infuse and encompass me.

the music blaring in some funky key.

milk steaming, orders yelling, register dinging,

chattering people, the local crazy man singing.

perusing the brownies and fresh bread,

my stomach can barely wait to be fed.

a peanut butter cookie would be so good,

but then again I'm not so sure that I should...

as cinnamon and espresso fill the air,

I sit back relaxed without a care.

enjoy my soy latte and perhaps a sweet treat,

as others filter in, making the atmosphere complete.
